Great postcard indeed. I think this pict...Hi David,<br />Great postcard indeed. I think this picture encompasses the intended concept in the foundation of Brasilia that is pure Modernity. Nothing better than freeways as the perfect representation of instant accessibility, movement, velocity of modern life. But I also love the architectural aspect of this particular view. We can see up to three different levels, just like a building. So consistent with the government palaces built by Niemeyer here, all of them with grand, out-of-proportion pedestrian ramps and decks that resemble freeways. I think Brasilia in in this regards as Los Angeles. I have seen postcards showing the famous Stack. (Nothing better to photograph in the whole city that a freeway junction?)...but this is what this city is about.
